MOONEE PONDS
An original Federation style home, set in a quiet street in Moonee Ponds, Melbourne. The home belongs to a young family of 4 who chose to renovate their existing house at the front with the addition of a modern extension at the rear.
The front section retains its heritage appeal, featuring elegant messmate flooring and shaker-style joinery that honors the original architecture. As you move to the rear of the home, the design transitions into a contemporary extension, emphasizing practicality without compromising style. The kitchen and living areas showcase a mix of light and dark joinery, while the durable, easy-care fabrics of the banquette seating enhance everyday living.
Texture has been introduced by the use of timber oak paneling to the island bench complemented by the soft rounded edges to the limestone benchtops, adding warmth and character where the family can thrive for years to come.
